World Equestrian Brands Awards Marco Bernal and Ashley Holzer the Musical Freestyle Wins at the CDI Zada WEF Dressage Classic
Wellington, FL- World Equestrian Brands awarded Marco Bernal the FEI Intermediaire I Musical Freestyle CDI win and Ashley Holzer the Grand Prix Musical Freestyle CDI win at the Zada WEF Dressage CDI Freestyle. Under threatening skies the horses and riders performed as if the sun were shining.

With classic music portending a delivery from darkening skies, Bernal and his striking 12-year-old Trahkener stallion, Halbgott, matched the elegant tempos, never missing a beat when the skies opened up. They kept going and topped the field of six horses to win the FEI Intermediaire I Freestyle CDI with a score of 68.20%. It was an outstanding effort; one that separated the professional from the amateur.

World Equestrian Brands sponsored Bernal’s win with a square E. A. Mattes Saddle pad. These well-designed saddle pads are frequently used due to their unsurpassed quality and their patented Spine Free Design. The seemless and anatomically correct top line design provides unbeatable protection for the horse.

Canada’s Simone Williams riding Wunder Ein gamely took an early lead posting a score of 67.90%. This pair managed to hold on for second in spite of the deluge of rain they performed in. The soaking wet partnership of Susie Dutta and Golden Choice prevailed to capture third with a score of 67.60%.

As if she were performing under the stars instead of the clouds, Canadian Olympic hopeful, Ashley Holzer rode into the arena with every intention of capturing victory in the CDI Grand Prix Freestyle. Under the scrutiny of five judges she and her partner, Pop Art danced into 1st place with a score of 76.80%.
This gargantuan effort also gleaned the pair the Leading Horse and Leading Rider Award.
