March 13th 2010 at 10am- 7th Annual Tessa Godwin Memorial Super Ride to benefit Dreams Come True, a non-profit organization providing Dreams to children with life threatening illnesses. This guided trail ride will take place at Diamond D Ranch, 5903 Solomon Road Jacksonville Florida and will go into Jennings Forest.

March 20th, 2010 - Lake Louisa State Park's Spring Obstacle Trail Ride. Proceeds to benefit the State Park. The 4H will be selling lunches to benefit their equine program. 6 mile scenic trail ride with 10 man made obstacles. Registration is now open, limited to the first 125 riders. We will also be including a "Parelli" type lead line challenge separate from the trail challenge, to give people something to do while waiting for start times and awards. March 27th 2010 Goby Fest No Frills Poker Ride to benefit the St Sebastian River Preserve State Park. This year the 6th Annual Goby Fest, a free Nature Festival, will offer a No Frills Poker Ride. No lunch or door prizes like there are at the Annual Poker Ride & Campout held every November, As a result, hands are only $5 each. However participants are welcome to explore the Goby Fest vendors and exhibits after the ride. Riders must start between 9:00 and 9:30, proof of negative coggins required. No pre-registration. March 27, 2010 - The 9th Annual, Altoona Trail Riders 2010 Obstacle Challenge with categories for children, junior, police posse, adult, senior and ATR members will be held at Rocking Horse Stables www.rockinghorseht.com on State Road 19 in Altoona, FL. We will begin at 9:00 AM with a Shotgun start. Class placings announced approximately 2:00 PM. Entry fees $25 to $35. Rocking Horse offers RV hookups, campsites, stalls and paddocks. (no tie outs or portable pens allowed). Feel free to check out the ATR website: www.AltoonaTrailRiders.com. Rocking Horse is located adjacent to the Ocala National Forest. Participants may ride in the Forest at their own risk. Come to Altoona for the day or spend the entire weekend. April 24 Florida Agricultural Museum's 2nd Annual Obstacle Challenge Fundraiser located in Palm Coast, FL just off I-95 and US 1 (north exit). RAIN Date: April 25th Sunday. NOT IN AN ARENA this time. Yes, out in the woods trail riding--6+ mile trail riding from the AG MUSEUM to Princess Place and back. 10 - 11 obstacles - riders go in groups (like Altoona and Lake Louisa). TIME: First riders out at 9:30 and every 10-15 minutes after that. Last group out at noon to have everybody back by 3:30. Awards at 4 p.m. LIMITED to 100 riders. Lunch available. CAMPING: At the AG MUSEUM -- Stalls, paddocks, several electric. Primitive Camping avail. FUN for all levels of ability. COST: $35 for 18 and over; $25 for under 18 years old; AGE GROUPS: . . . through 17, 18 through 39, 40 and over. PRIZES for each age group: Trophy 1st place; Ribbons and other tack prizes. April 30, May 1 & 2 – Sandy Kuhn Memorial Ride-A-Thon to benefit Heartland Horses & Handicapped, Inc. – Join us once again for one of the most anticipated rides of the year! Three beautiful days of friendship and great riding! Hosted by the Putnam Family they open up their beautiful El Clair Ranch located in Zolfo Springs. Lots of camping under huge oak canopies, open space also available. No hook ups or stalls are available. Enjoy great food, entertainment, door prizes, auction, and beautiful scenery. If your not here, your missing a great time! Gates open Noon Friday April 30th thru Noon Sunday May 2nd. Group ride out 10:30 a.m. on Saturday May 1st. Similar to a walk-a-thon, participants obtain sponsorships with prizes going to the top youth, top adult, and top barn or club sponsorship earners. Minimum sponsorship amounts are $35 for youth riders and $50 for adult riders. Dinner tickets are also available for $25 for non-riders. Those who pre-register by April 21st will receive a FREE t-shirt (must have deposit paid). Minimum sponsorship amounts include: Camping all weekend, riding on your own, guided ride on a beautiful working ranch (Saturday - approx. 3 hrs), auction, door prizes, a smoked rib & chicken dinner, and entertainment. The Sherriff’s Equestrian Association (S.E.A.) has added 9 gaited horse classes and has moved their popular, quickly growing show series to Triple J Covered Arena. SEA’s 2009-2010 Schooling Show Series is now sanctioned with the National FOSH Association, promoting the naturally gaited pleasure horse. S.E.A. is a haven for those new to showing, young equestrians getting their feet wet, green horses needing the experience or even seasoned exhibitors looking for a place for a little extra practice before hitting their breed circuits.
